Kappa Kappa Gamma (ΚΚΓ) occurs as college sorority, founded on October 13, 1870 at Monmouth College, Illinois. A fraternity badge, worn simply by initiated members, is represented per Golden Key.
A key wwhen adopted as a sorority's symbol whenever the hexad founders marched into a chapel at Monmouth wearing gold keys in their hair. A todays badge is an 1-inch gold key, every now and again bespangled. On a front of the key come the greek letters KKG (on the stem) & Alpha Omega Omicron (on the ward). A badge is worn strictly as an emblem of membership & simply by initiated members.
